We’re excited to be hosting the first States event of the 21/22 season at Belmont, Lake Macquarie on Saturday 20 November – Sunday 21 November.

SOME IMPORTANT NOTES!
This event will be a little different to normal as the 13 & 16ft skiffs will also be at Belmont for their state titles. This is a great opportunity to meet some people in the bigger boats and see them racing at close quarters.

Make sure you check out our amended Sailing Instructions to allow for changes to race format and course layout. We’ll be racing on the same race course as the 16s using a windward / leeward layout (no wing mark). The number of races held each day and the number of laps in each race will be weather dependent and indicated by flags on the start boat. The number of laps is determined by race target times, to allow for 3 races over the weekend – 2 short and 1 long. To ensure safety for our sailors, we’ll have staggered starts and separate top marks to keep the fleets separated.

Now some housekeeping notes – all competitors must be double vaccinated & check in using the QR codes in the rigging area. All trailers must be in the main car park, or in the Mills Gulley park across Ross St.

You can find the amended SIs and Course Map on the Cherub website or via the links below:

Can’t wait to see you there – and make sure you get to Belmont early to secure rigging space 🙂
