The Cherub Class International Association’s Inter Dominion Championship trophy is home. Will you be the next to take out the win at Wangi Wangi this December?

In early 2022, the Cherub National Council of Australia was thrilled to receive a lovely email from Michael McAlary offering to return our Inter Dominion Championship perpetual trophy.

Mr. McAlary won this trophy in 1974/75 on his Cherub, Kai, with crew John Watson at the fourth Cherub Inter Dominion Championships hosted out of Tamaki Yacht Club, NZ. He has very kindly taken care of this award for us for the last 47 years as Inter Dominion Championships gave way to world titles with the union of our Australian, New Zealand, and United Kingdom Cherub fleets.

We are pleased to be able to announce that this trophy will be up for award at Wangi Wangi this December. Thank you Michael for looking after a valuable piece of our Cherub history, we look forward to being able to add some more names to the plaque over years to come.
